Storm Damage Cleanup in Pleasant View, TN

Storm Cleanup · Pleasant View, TN

Downed limbs and small trees cleared off your land

Storm damage cleanup gets your land back in use after wind or ice brings limbs down. We clear downed limbs and small blown-down trees off yards, lots, fields and fence lines. When debris blocks a driveway or a farm lane, we open it back up. You choose whether the debris gets mulched where it lies or pushed into piles.

The work runs on the compact track loader and mulcher head behind our forestry mulching. That head grinds trees up to about 6 to 7 inches across. Storm cleanup is one part of our land clearing around Pleasant View and the towns nearby. Call or text (931) 265-1151, and we look at the job and put the quote in writing.

Storm cleanup after wind and ice in Middle Tennessee

Middle Tennessee gets storm damage from wind and from ice. The National Weather Service office in Nashville logged storms with damaging straight-line winds in March and April 2026. It called the January 2026 ice storm historic for the region. Ice totals ran from a quarter inch to three quarters of an inch across wide areas.

Ice that heavy breaks limbs, and strong wind blows small trees over. Our storm damage cleanup covers what ends up on the ground. We clear it off yards and fence lines, and we open blocked driveways.

On a farm, limbs on a fence line can flatten the wire and let livestock out. Debris in a pasture or a hay field needs to come out before the next cutting. A limb hidden in tall grass is hard on the rotary cutter used for bush hogging. We clear fields and fence rows the same way we clear a yard.

Debris cleanup after a storm: mulch it or pile it?

The mulcher head grinds limbs and small trunks right where they lie. The mulch stays on the ground and breaks down over time. Mulching in place leaves nothing to haul.

Getting rid of brush takes some thought in Cheatham County. The county's solid waste page says none of its sites can accept brush. Mulching the debris on your own land settles that.

If you would rather have a pile, we push the debris into piles with the bucket. Pick a spot away from ditches and culverts so water can still drain.

Downed tree cleanup for small trees and limbs

We clear small blown-down trees that fit the mulcher head. Bigger trunks are a job for a tree service. So are leaning trees and broken limbs still caught in the branches above.

A tree resting on a house or a shed goes to a tree service as well. Roof repairs and insurance claims are outside our work. Your insurance agent can tell you what your policy covers.

Stay clear of any downed power line and call your power company. Treat every downed line as live. Cleanup starts after the utility makes the line safe.

FAQ

Storm Cleanup Questions, Answered

Common questions about storm cleanup around Pleasant View and the towns between Nashville and Clarksville. If yours is not here, call or text and ask.

Call (931) 265-1151

How much does storm damage cleanup cost?
The price depends on how much debris is down and how big the limbs and trunks are. Access matters too, and so does mulching in place versus piling. We look at the job and put the quote in writing. Call or text (931) 265-1151 to get started.
Can you take care of a big tree that fell in the storm?
A trunk bigger than about 6 to 7 inches across is a job for a tree service. Once the tree service has the big wood handled, we clear the limbs and brush left behind. When we look at the job, we point out which parts are ours.
Do I need a permit to burn storm debris in Tennessee?
From October 15 through May 15, yes. The Tennessee Division of Forestry requires a burn permit for brush and debris piles in those months. Some counties and towns have stricter rules of their own, so check yours too. Mulching the debris in place means there is no pile to burn.
Can you fix a gravel driveway the storm washed out?
Yes. Heavy rain can cut ruts and washouts into a gravel drive. We regrade it and spread fresh gravel as part of our gravel driveway repair work.
Should I cut up the limbs before you come out?
You can leave them where they fell. The mulcher head grinds limbs and small trees as they lie. Point out any young trees or garden beds you want kept when we look at the job.
Do you do storm cleanup outside Pleasant View?
Yes. Pleasant View sits at the center of our service area, which runs about 30 miles out. That takes in Clarksville, Springfield, Ashland City, Dickson and the north and west side of Nashville. See the full list of towns we serve for the rest.
